We try to maintain an atmosphere that offers something to everyone, welcoming beginners, spouses, clients, journalists, and anyone interested in the art. It is good mix from Masters of the art to wannabes. In past years we have seen as many as six foreign countries represented, as well as many of the fifty states. Also, many hobo nickel carvers attendan each year. Scott Pilkington holds this event at his place in the mountains of Tennessee. Scott is a Master Engraver of over 30 years experience, as well as credentials as a teacher and instructor at places like the Appalachian Center for Crafts and the GRS Training Center in Emporia, Kansas.
In addition to the seminars, The Engrave-In offers lots of great food, picking and grinning, and a wonderful chance for engravers to relax with one another in a no stress atmosphere. We welcome all engravers as well as their spouses and children.
The price of admission to this fabulous event is without fee, but we do graciously accept donations.
